Masterson’s Tavern , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my recent visit at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its entrance was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .
The Condition of the Premises : Squalid and Disregarded
From the moment I stepped inside , it was apparent that sanitation was not a priority at this venue. The floors were sticky , and a pungent odor of old alcohol and neglected washrooms filled the entire pub. Smelling a mixture of human waste, decay and sour vomit . The serving zone , which should be the focal point of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and trash that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The toilet was in even a truly awful state— spilling over , with a cracked flush mechanism and tiles smeared in what I can only assume was human waste .

For a business that offers beverages , these issues are completely unacceptable and raise serious concerns about the quality of their products .
